The Best Occupation

I will be honest. When we found out we we were expecting, we were both a little nervous. I hear all the time, "Parenthood is so tough!" Yikes!!!

But Lilly has made it such a breeze! Being a full time mommy beats out any 12 hour night shift any time!!!!! Lilly has made our lives even easier. Look how reverent she is at the dinner table- already folding her arms to pray without even being asked!

She is still working on how to jump, but she has accomplished falling asleep in her jumper.

She is such a big help at the grocery store. Thank you Lilly for making sure the apples don't fall out of the cart- I guess apples make a good arm rest as well.

She doesn't mind the water either... pool time every day.

And did I mention, she loves to sleep in. Unless she hits her 12 hour mark (or longer on some days) she is fast asleep. She thinks she's a teenager that can sleep past 1pm.

My Favorite Part of the Day

Dressing Lillian! She is growing so fast that instead of reserving dresses for church on Sundays, she is wearing dresses every sunny day- which is pretty often here in San Diego. Still squeezing into unworn new born dresses at 3 months. To top it off, a cute headband complements of auntie Britt.

Can't get enough of the milk bubble lips!

Trip to Utah

Vacation isn't official until we have gone shopping!!! the Quilted Bear, Park City Outlets, Rocky Mountain Chocolate store... just to name a few visited and bought out :)

Lilly doesn't have it in her as of yet...marathon shopping. She had to take 5 to regain her strength.

What perfect timing was it to plan a trip to Utah!! That Sunday we headed off to church for cousin Lance's homecoming talk. It was a bit of a challenge remembering his english after serving 2 years as a missionary in Mexico. It was wonderful to see extended family again!

What can I say...Lilly is an excellent traveler. Not a peep did she make on the 4 plane rides.

Crazy kids! It was oh so much fun seeing auntie Brittany, uncle Aaron and cousins Chantilly and Maddox.

And it definitely wouldn't be vacation if Oma wasn't present! Thank you all for a wonderful time.

The Sweetest Thing

At Rest

Exhausted from eating. Being a baby is tough work.

Lillian has discovered her fingers. Instead of listening for a cry to know she has risen from her slumber, I hear sucking.

Our Bundle of Joy

All packed up and ready to go. From the get go Lillian has become quite the traveler. At age 1 week on, Lillian has been to numerous restaurants, the zoo and Del Mar Race Track to enjoy Christmas lights, basking in the sun at Coronado Beach, Thanksgiving at Oma's, and sledding in snowy Tahoe.
Can't forget her accessories! Thanks Britt- love the headbands.
Already into dress ups. Soon it will be big house or little house with friends.

Our lil' angel!

In Preparation for the New Babe

People tell us to go out and do stuff now because once you start having kids it gets harder to do things as a couple. So, in taking their advice we have kept up a busy schedule enjoying one another's company by planning getaways for the day almost each weekend. These are a few places we've seen and been- some more frequent than others.

Surfing our new ride
Birthday at Disneyland
San Diego Zoo
4th of July on the USS Midway
Del Mar County Fair

Up to norcal to see mama and this sweet face, my precious pup
Enjoying fulfilling our appetites by touring Taste of Gaslamp
Evening strolls around Sea Port Village
Soaking up the summer sun at the beach
Sam's first trip to Gualala

So What's New?

At the end of spring we moved from our hometown to sunny socal. We love our new home, but are going to grow out of our house soon! We are so proud to announce we are expecting our first little bundle of joy coming Thanksgiving. Much to be thankful for indeed!

How I spend my days off from work- living the resort life.
