Thanksgiving

The feast we were supposed to have.

This past week was my most favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, all plans to celebrate with family were foiled do to double ear infections. On a positive note, I have much to be thankful for:

~Sam, a wonderful husband who supports me and encourages me to be myself
~Lillian, a bright star who can light up any room or mood
~our health and insurance to pick up the majority of the bill
~Disney- Sam looks forward going to work every day and comes home in a pleasant mood because he believes in what he does and in the company...and I don't mind the few perks thus far
~the Gospel- I am thankful to be a daughter of God who loves me and gives me only what I can handle...I'm still struggling with cooking even after 3 years of marriage and I will continue to begin each meal with Bibbidi bobbidi boo!

We are extremely grateful for our families, and have felt the love and support even being across the country. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and to all a good night!

Getting into the Holiday Spirit

My most favorite holiday season is upon us and to get into the holiday spirit, we visited the Grand Floridian Resort. We heard about a gigantic gingerbread house there and needed to witness it with our own eyes.

For those ambitious holiday cooks and bakers here's a recipe for you:

Finish product: human size gingerbread house

Inside the gingerbread house they sold delicious baked goods and yummy hot drinks.

In the lobby of the Grand Floridian

If you look closely, you can see part of the gingerbread house peeking around the left side of the Christmas tree.

Birthday Bash

Lillian Rain a year ago today you came into our lives with a bang! You have turned our world upside down and we wouldn't trade you for the world. You are extremely independent and know exactly what you want. We can't get enough of your smiles and love your snorting through the nostrils when you are overly excited. In honor of your special day, we took you to Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.

Greeted at the gate with a personalized Happy Birthday button.

Handy Manny

Right now you love the Disney Playhouse TV shows especially Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because they dance to that silly song at the end of each episode... Hotdog!

At the Beauty and the Beast show starring Renee as the voice of Belle. Yes, I sang throughout the entire show. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney classic movie.

The Beast was pretty intimidating and loud, but you weren't scared one bit!

Lunch at Pizza Planet (restaurant on the Toy Story movie)

American Idol Experience

Awesome show! The singers are actually park-goers who have auditioned earlier that day. I'm impressed at some of the talent that walks in off the street. The winner received a golden ticket (front of the line pass at any American Idol audition around the country)

Lights everywhere to celebrate the holiday season with snow to top it off. The lights danced to the music. All we needed was some hot chocolate to complete the ambiance, but the 80 degree weather wasn't cooperating.

A birthday wouldn't be complete without cake and ice cream. I miss calculated the size of the princess tiara. The princesses didn't quite fit on the cake so they stood aside in support.

Lillian, you are our Princess!

Too much fun for one day!

Staycation

There is too much to see and do here so little by little we visit a resort or 2 each weekend. So this past weekend we toured Coronado Springs. Hands down one of the coolest pools yet!

Coronado Springs

Virgin Sacrifice..."We always wanted to do a sacrificial ceremony at the Mansion, but we could never find a virgin." lol Britt quick, what movie?

This month is resident appreciation month at our apartment. Donut breakfast, hotdog lunch, to a game of Live Clue- we been nothing less than entertained! Sunday night, we attended the Luau. Someone else cooking and cleaning is my idea of fun! The DJ got everyone moving and the fire and polynesian dancers were amazing. It brought back memories of the PCC.

Oma's Back in Town

Oma came to visit us this past weekend and when one comes to see us...off to the parks we go!

My favorite show in the Magic Kingdom is the Mickey show that takes place in front of the castle. It's the best because it has the biggest representation of the classical Disney characters or at least the most important: Disney princesses!

The Christmas decor was up already for the holiday season-best time of the year!

It was unusually frigid almost setting a record low!

One request Oma had during her stay was to see both coasts.

Gulf Coast: St. Pete Beach

Lilly made sand angels with her feet.

Atlantic Coast: Coco Beach

A trip would never be complete without shopping. Outlets, Downtown Disney, malls, Disney resorts- just to name a few. I took Mama to my favorite town, Celebration (designed/built by Disney). It's always so cute even just to drive around. Thanks for visiting. We love you!
